This domain will shortly be hosting the website for the Kingston Disability Network.
The network is currently run by Kingston upon Thames’ Engagement Team, but will shortly become an independent organisation (applying for charity status) in its own right.
Kingston Disability Network (KDN) is an inclusive network bringing together individuals and organisations across the borough of Kingston-upon-Thames, to create a collective stronger voice for those with disabilities. The group works collaboratively to achieve positive outcomes by:
- Raising awareness on disabilities
- Offering a platform for those with disabilities to advise the council, stakeholders and other partners.
- Co-producing with members and to act as a critical friend and challenger to the council, stakeholders and other partners
- Campaigning and offering practical solutions (not just ideas) for positive change for people with disabilities
- Sharing of knowledge and experience
- Providing networking, community collaboration and connection.
